About this search
This search allows the user to find Oral History topics in major newspapers and online news sources. While there are many different types of crawlers in the market, this search utility will scout the most widely publish news sources in the world and its different regions. For example, if a member is interested in finding who is working on oral histories related to any given historical event, such as World War II, the member will type the word "World War II" in the search field. The same applies to the different regions. If the member is interested in, say, the break up of the former Soviet Union, the member will type "Soviet Union Breakup" in the Asia panel search field. The search will look for any recent and current news published in newspapers and news venues most widely read or distributed in the region.
The findings of the search can be refined further. Above the results you will find the following links:

By clicking on any of those links you will select only those entries that include your keyword and "Oral History."
Please be reminded that, while you may find scholarly materials in your results, this search scouts for news.
As with any other tool, we expect to improve on this initial version with your support. This tool looks at predetermined news sources of global or regional scope.
